Full-grain leather, Italian suede: the material that makes the piece

It all starts with the hide. The choice of leather and suede determines what your bag will live through in five, ten, twenty years.

For our structured pieces (Caravella, Soho Stroll, Pallermo, Cyprus), we use European-origin full-grain leather. Full-grain means the top layer of the hide is preserved intact, with no sanding or chemical treatment to mask natural marks.

For our soft pieces (Mercado, Mini Mercado, Parisian Stroll), we work with Italian suede — a reversed calfskin, the inner side sanded to reveal its characteristic velvety texture, tanned in Tuscany.

Concretely: your MARGO bag won’t tire like a fast-fashion bag. It will improve, take on your mark, tell the story of your daily life. That’s what we call a piece that lasts.
